Emma Stone officiates Ojai wedding

Emma Stone returned to Ojai, but it wasn’t for a sequel to the popular film Easy A that was set in that city.

The Huffington Post reported the 24-year-old officiated the wedding between her publicist and her director from the upcoming film Gangster Squad.

Stone was also spotted in nearby Santa Barbara last week, having lunch at La Super Rica with her current romance and The Amazing Spiderman actor Andrew Garfield.

It’s worth a mention that many local residents could have travel plans altered because of the tremendous storm approaching the East Coast.

LAist has a list of airports affected in New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.

If you’re headed somewhere on the East Coast in the next couple of days, pay close attention to your flight and prepare for some waiting at the airport. Sandy’s effects are going to be felt nationwide.

Michelle Obama at fundraiser with ‘Fresh Prince’ in Calabasas

President Obama wasn’t the only member of his family touring the West Coast in a major push ahead of election day. First Lady Michelle Obama spent Thursday in LA, including a fundraiser lunch at the Calabasas home of Jada Pinkett and Will Smith, also hosted by Salma Hayek.

According to TMZ, the price of entrance was $2,500 per plate and $10,000 if you wanted a picture with Michelle.

The Smiths own a 25,000 square-foot home in Calabasas. The First Lady also taped an appearance today for Jimmy Kimmel Live, to air early Friday morning.

Ojai residents are getting new neighbors in the form of “The Office” star John Krasinski and his movie-star wife Emily Blunt.

The couple plunked down $2.15 million for an “eco-friendly” Ojai estate that is 4,177 square feet and has four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. It also four fireplaces, a three-car garage and pool and spa powered by solar panels. Green, indeed.

Time to keep a camera ready for Krasinski-Blunt sightings around Ventura County.

…but the 805 can boast of top class horse rider Jan Ebeling, a member of the 2012 Olympic Equestrian team. In his honorable quest for the gold, however, there may be too much unnecessary hoopla associated with Rafalca — Ann Romney’s dancing horse — that is ridden by Mr. Ebeling.

“Twilight” saga star Robert Pattison has parted ways with co-vampire Kristen Stewart, just in case you weren’t paying attention to, well, life. It appears that Pattison has now embraced being single, and has taken to celebrating in Ojai. The ghosts of Olympics past

Remember Olympic Stadium in Montreal, the site of the 1976 Summer Games? In its post-Olympics afterlife, it became a horrible baseball stadium where the distance between home plate and the backstop was what one normally finds between two Starbucks.

The fate of these monstrous structures created specially for the Olympics is the subject of a National Geographics photo gallery that chronicles the afterlife of some of these impressive venues.

The auteur of Agoura Hills

Film directors have humble origins, toting the Super 8 and creating visual art from family picnics or backyard films. Agoura Hill’s Trevor Campbell is no different. He hopes that “Face to Face,” the latest project filmed at his 805 home, will make the festival circuit. Here’s hoping it gets shown at Sundance and as a selection in Un Certain Regard.
